About Us

Sheriffhales Community Energy Limited (SHCE) is a not for profit community benefit society, governed by local volunteer directors, owned by its Members, and operated to benefit the community of Sheriffhales Parish, Shropshire.

SHCE owns a community array on the outskirts of the village. The solar array generates electricity from the sun which is supplied into the local electricity distribution network. We use income generated from electricity sales to cover the running costs of our solar array, cover our financing costs and generate funding for community initiatives in the parish.
