Applications are now open for our Community Benefit Grants and Higher Education Bursaries.
SHCE and the community solar array are run for the benefit of the rural parish of Sheriffhales in Shropshire. Community grants are available to support the local parish.
The community solar array is projected to generate around £900,000 of community funds over its operating life to support local community initiatives.
£150,000 of community funds has been distributed to a range of local community projects including energy efficiency, community transport and supporting the community’s response to the Covid 19 crisis.
Community Grants are awarded to projects that benefit the Sheriffhales parish.
If you’re a resident of Sheriffhales and are in need of financial support with energy bills, you can apply for a grant from our £10,000 fund.
We also encourage you to reach out to Keep Shropshire Warm, a Shrewsbury-based service that assists households in reducing their energy bills, and improving their energy efficiency in order to keep people safe, warm and healthy. Their expert Advisors offer free and impartial energy advice to support the local community.
